Account Manager
(Bangkok)


IDC Thailand seeks an individual with strong relationship development skills and a proven track record selling IT advisory or consulting services to, or with, major MNC IT vendors in the region, and achieving quota targets. This is a high-profile client-facing Account Manager role with a primary focus on IDC’s key vendor clients in Thailand.

Reporting to the Managing Director of Thailand, the primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Increasing market penetration through expansion of current products within major accounts, and identifying new business and partnering opportunities for a key accounts as part of our Major Account team
  • Solid foundation in sales fundamentals such as prospecting, needs assessment, proposal development, client presentations, closing
  • Established strong and extensive contacts with leading regional IT vendors
  • Proven track record in client management and new sales acquisitions
  • Experience and success in a quota bearing position
  • Strategic account planning including new account development and incremental growth of existing accounts

Requirements:

Interested individuals that meet the following minimum requirements are encouraged to apply:

  • Individuals with a minimum 4 years of working experience in an IT related regional sales role
  • Minimum university or college degree, BA, BSc or equivalent.
  • Experience and comfort working with senior level decision makers in the industry
  • A great communicator - strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills
  • Written and verbal fluency in English
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
  • Good understanding of market intelligence and marketing
  • Ability to lead in a fast paced, collaborative environment
  • Customer orientation with a proven track record of building deep, lasting relationships with an organization
  • Citizens of Thailand, Permanent Residents or those currently authorized to work in Thailand

The Account Manager will have a track record of consistently maintaining & meeting targets. The successful candidate will be able to identify opportunities with this major client and present solutions from IDC’s, and the Insights’, product portfolios – in collaboration with major account managers worldwide. Confident, self-assured, and self-motivated with high performance standards, the successful candidate will have a sense of client ownership and established long-term relationships with industry leaders.
