The National Heritage Board preserves, presents and promotes the cultural heritage of Singapore. We encourage the preservation of national monuments, develop heritage programmes, mark historic sites and provide consultancy services to organisations who wish to perpetuate our heritage. Assistant Director (Development) Asian Civilisations Museum
(Singapore)
Responsibilities:
- Fund-raising for the Museum, through annual, major and planned giving , and capital campaigns
- Conceptualising, developing and implementing the strategies for the above
- Donor management
- General fund-raising support for the Museum’s activities
- Plan, implement and oversee the fund raising efforts for ACM's exhibition projects, collection, programmes and operations generally including fund-raising for building projects.
- Identify potential sponsors and devise attractive sponsorship packages for them
- Opening and developing strong relationships with key and potential partners/sponsors to secure the sponsorships.
- Develop and implement ways to keep in touch with and regularly acknowledge existing major benefactors/donors/supporters
- Collaborate with the Museum’s Marcomms, Curatorial, Programmes and Education departments in furtherance of the above.
Requirements:
- Good University degree
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in banking, financial or development sector preferred , with proven track record in the field for closing sales and/or exceeding or achieving targets
- Excellent English written and oral communication and presentation skills and IT literate
- Mature, well-spoken, and able to handle high net-worth donors and corporate donors
- Knowledge of quantitative techniques and tools for donor management
- Able to tap on an established network of relevant contacts for fund-raising
- Have an interest in the arts and culture industry
- An understanding of the rules and regulations governing fund-raising for charities and non-profit organisations would be an asset
