Location : Singapore

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team to source, negotiate and procure materials, supplies, services, equipment and machineries
• Work with counterpart in China to develop new suppliers to meet global organisation needs for manufacturing parts.
• Manage company material deflation targets and strategise plans to improve bottomline through optimised spending.
• Initiate cost improvement programs, source identification, recommendation and price negotiation.
• Lead and manage development and strategic alliances with new and existing suppliers.
• Develop and implement short and long term procurement strategies in cost reduction, shorten lead time and vendor managed inventory.
• Develop integrate information system to better manage supply-base information for records, and cross-site sharing of information to support organisation needs.
• Lead cross-functional team to conduct on-site supplier audits

Requirements:

• Degree in Business Administration / Engineering
• At least 5-7 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment. Supervisory experience will be added advantage
• Must have the ability to interpret part- drawings.
• Must be familiar with basic accounting principles, commodity market knowledge .
• Basic understanding of quality and process controls (SPC) and contract law are required.
