Flowserve is the world’s premier provider of industrial flow management services. The Company produces engineered pumps, precision mechanical seals, automated and manual quarter-turn valves, control valves and valve actuators and provides a range of related flow management services, primarily for the process industries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the supply and support of needed IT hardware and desktop software (i.e. printers, cell phones, PCs and laptops, software applications, etc.) within APAC.
• Manage outsourced service desk and deskside engineers in APAC.
• Suggest new, or enhancements to, current practices, policies, procedures, or other actions that result in enhanced workflow, reduced costs, increased productivity, increased employee satisfaction, as well as continual compliance with company requirements.
• Ensure that corporate standards for end-user computing products are adhered to, routinely maintained, and meet all enterprise-wide strategic and tactical requirements.
• Ensure proper management of IT assets within the region of responsibility. This will include; maintaining database of IT assets, maintaining Security Patches for individual computers, auditing individual computers to check for proper system components, making system updates based on individual needs, and providing computer training.
• Serve as a key IT interface to Flowserve Business Managers within region of responsibility. Build effective working relationships with divisions at all levels to promote, support and provide advice on existing systems and the desktop infrastructure. Coordinate, convene, and facilitate necessary business meetings; regularly communicate with IT and business management as to issues, concerns and opportunities.
• Define, track, and report on departmental performance metrics.
• Support other IT Functional teams by providing on-site technical support as required.
• Establish an environment of continuous learning and improvement within the Technical Support Services organization. Assure that career objectives and expectations are clearly established and documented and that each individual is encouraged to continuously improve his/her capabilities. Manage these activities within the framework of the Flowserve performance management process.
• Establish a proactive environment of User support within region of responsibility that enhances the view of the IT organization within the Company and promotes an environment of mutual respect. He/She will ensure that training and support are provided to all IT staff within region of responsibility that will facilitate each individual’s ability to effectively embrace and work within this environment.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English, knowledge in Chinese/Japanese/Korean is a plus.
• At least Bachelors degree in IT, business, or related field with 10 years of IT experience with at least five years experience in a senior IT role.
• Experience in implementing ITIL will be an advantage
• 5 or more years of experience developing and implementing standardized procedures, supporting end users, and managing IT service providers.
• Previous experience as a manager in leading and directing cross functional diversed teams preferred
• Significant, broad-based business experience and deep knowledge of Information Systems, planning, budgeting, and demonstrated project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills.
• Thorough understanding of the market and current trends in the IT business
• Experience developing and enforcing standards and procedures for project deliverables, quality assurance, walkthroughs, issue reporting, and change management
• Ability to effectively gain ownership for program-wide issues by the appropriate management group and the ability to drive issue resolution
