We are a Singapore-based shipping company operating a growing fleet of ships in this region.

The company has seen rapid growth in the past 5 years and is presently looking for a highly motivated and competent candidate to join their company as an Operations Executive/ Manager.

Shipping Operations Executive/ Manager
(Singapore - CBD)

 

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate must be able to work together as a team within the Shipping Operations Department and independently when required;


  • The successful candidate must be willing to travel regionally and often at short notice to facilitate the monitoring of the company's regional shipping operations, meeting vessels at their ports of call, liasing with port agents etc ;


  • The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the fuel consumption of the company's fleet as well as vetting and arranging the purchase of all vessel spare parts as may be required by the vessels from time to time;


  • The successful candidate must have sufficient maturity in dealing with vessel crew members, agents, charterers, shippers, receivers and brokers as may be necessary from time to time;


  • The successful candidate must be highly motivated and able to work under pressure and able to adapt to a challenging work environment;

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/"O" Level, Higher secondary/Pre-U/A level/College, Professional Certificate, Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Marine), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Industrial), Merchant Marine or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Applicants should be Singaporean citizens or hold relevant residence status.
  • Preferably at least junior executives specializing in Freight/Shipping/Logistics or equivalent.
  • Candidate must possess valid Class 3 Motor Vehicle Driving License
  • Full-Time positions available.
