Responsibilities:

• Provide first level problem diagnosis and resolve problems related to computer hardware/software, application system and network
• Provide advice and assistance to users on usage of simple functional features of software and hardware peripherals (e.g. Windows OS, Office work related Application etc.)
• Provide routine network monitoring and remote configuration of network settings. Proactively update and expedite network outages and planned/unplanned network maintenance.
• Provide end-users support for various office IT needs and troubleshoot end-users problems
• Perform routine IT housekeeping services such as hardware replacement, re-installation of software, PC & software upgrades, daily server backup, etc
• Provide IT administrative support such as user account application, IT inventory control, preparing weekly reports and filing of relevant documents
• Provide on-site support to customers as and when required
• Assist Senior Engineers on server installation, maintenance and troubleshoot (Mainly Linux & Mac OS Xserve)

Requirements:

• GCE 'O' / 'A' / ITE qualification. Fresh Diploma graduates are welcomed to apply.
• Good technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills on desktop issues including Windows OS, MS Office, email applications, networking and PC/laptop hardware.
• Strong PC hardware and software knowledge
• Excellent customer service mindset
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Committed and responsible worker with a willingness to learn
• Able to work independently and handle difficult situations with quick thinking and problem solving ability
• Knowledge in Linux and Mac OS, DIY PC Assembly and network set up are advantageous but not necessary (training will be provided)
• Willing to work 5 1/2 day week stationed mostly in the West
