Sub-Editor
(Singapore)
Responsibilities:
eFeedLink is looking for a sub-editor to manage its online industry contents and provide editorial support for its print publications.
The sub-editor will support the editorial team to ensure quality and timeliness of online news and information, and develop contents and other offerings to achieve target web visits. He/She will also assist the editorial production of FEED Business Asia and MEAT Business Asia, eFeedLink's flagship trade publications.
- Copyediting and proofreading for grammar, punctuation and style in a timely and thorough manner. (Edited pieces should be accurate, informative and be improved on the basis of readability and sense)
- Support day-to-day editorial operations to ensure quality and timeliness of website contents
- Develop and grow website offerings to drive visitation
- Sub-editing and writing of daily contents for website news
- Spot industry trends and interview key industry personnel
- Proof-read, sub-edit and production planning for FEED Business Asia
Requirements:
- Preferably a degree or diploma in Journalism / Mass Communication / English Language / Social Sciences
- At least 2 years' editorial experience with an online contents provider
- Experience in print publication production preferred. Individuals with no experience but keen interest will be well considered
- A flair for writing and reporting
- A keen eye for detail, including for print and layout elements
- A good team-player for a growing editorial team
- Knowledge of PC applications a must
