Senior / Accountant, CPA required (Based in Qatar with housing+overseas $)

Responsibilities:
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/ACCOUNTANT (Based in Qatar)
Job Description/Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the selected candidate will ensure effective running of the finance operations. Duties include:

Responsible for month-end close procedures, including preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis of results ensuring compliance with corporate and statutory policies and guidelines

Preparation of monthly financial statements for Group reporting and other deliverables

Prepare budgets, rolling-forecasts, financial analysis and management reporting activities

Proactively identify issues and implement process improvements to streamline accounting process
-
Handle hedging activities with Group Treasury dept to ensure foreign currency exposure is limited
-
To liaise with contracts/logistics dept on contract terms/shipment schedules respectively so that trade finance/funding arrangements are adequately planned
-
To oversee cashflow planning and management so that funding costs is minimised
-
Liaison with internal/external auditors
-
Other ad hoc or duties as and when assigned
Qualification
-
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and CPA certification with at least 4 years of relevant experience

Able to handle full set of accounts/group reporting is necessary

Computer Literacy in MS Office and accounting software (JDE experience will be advantageous)

Able to work under pressure within tight deadline and under minimal supervision
-
Proficient in both written and spoken English with good communication and interpersonal skills and experience to deal with people at all levels

Meticulous and possess good personality, integrity and highly proactive attitude
-
Preferably with experience in a construction environment
Requirements:
-
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.

At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably Managers specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
